Getting to Rome Rome Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino
Airport This is the main airport for Rome. Most tourists and visitors
come through this airport when flying to Rome. G.B.

and charter flights.

Driving Directions:From the North (Milano, Bologna, Venise,
Florence, ...)
Take the A1/E35 freeway ("Autostrada
Del Sole/A1/E35") going south.
Near Rome, take the exit pointing
toward "Roma, Grande Raccordo Anulare, Civitavecchia,
Roma nord, Rieti". Continue along "Diramazione
Roma Nord/A1DIR/E35" for 0.6 km to the freeway exit toll post. A drive
from Milan or Venise to Rome would cost around 28 Euros of toll fees. From Bologna
around 19 Euros and from Florence, around 13 Euros.
After the freeway
toll post, follow "Diramazione Roma Nord"
for 17 km and take exit " Exit Settebagni, Settebagni".
Turn right onto "Via Salaria/SS4" for 400
m and continue along the SS4 for 3 km. Then head towards "Grande
Raccordo Anulare, Flaminia, Civitavecchia, Fiumicino" via the "Circonvallazione
Settentrionale/A90" route for about 1.8 km. Take "Exit
6, Roma, Flaminio". Turn right onto the "Via
Flaminia" road which becomes the "Via Flaminia
Nuova" and you'll be heading toward the center of Rome.
From
the South (Naples, Sicily, ...)
Take the A1/E45
freeway ("Autostrada Del Sole/A1/E45") going north.
Exit at "Roma, Grande Raccordo Anulare, L'Aquila, Teramo,
Pescara, Roma est"
The toll will cost about 11 Euro from Naples
to Rome.
Then take the A24 for 15 km. At "Roma"
continue on the A24 for about 1km and take the "EUR, San
Giovanni" exit. You'll be arriving near the center of Rome within
6.5 km.
